REFLECTED BAGS

The materials for our Reflected Bags combine recycling, upcycling, and B-stock goods. Each of the four primary components — RPET material, truck reflectors and tarp, and car seat belts — has particular characteristics and advantages of its own.

• The water-repellent fabric made from recycled PET bottles ensures that the Reflected Bags are both robust and flexible.
• They used to make trucks glow in the dark, but now the moveable reflectors ensure that the Reflected Bags are visible at night, making their owners feel more secure and giving them more freedom on the road.
• Thanks to eye-catching outer pockets made from used truck tarp, each item has the one-off feature typically associated with FREITAG.
• And for once, decommissioned car seat belts not only serve as comfortable carrying straps but also provide aesthetic and functional highlights.

That way, each component plays its part in generating a little more constructive order, reflective safety, and forward-looking reliability for forays out into the city.

The messenger backpack holds up to 32 liters and, thanks to its numerous features, will also transport a laptop (in an extra-snug padded compartment), a yoga mat, a water bottle, a U-lock, and a bunch of keys safely from A to B, in rapid-access mode.

If you prefer a classic, messenger-style bag but still value multifunctionality, the F685 HENRY is a slightly more compact alternative. This messenger bag also has an adjustable volume, making it ideal for out-of-the-ordinary shopping and short-term transport jobs alike.

The F685 HENRY offers almost the same transport and fastening options as the F691 GLEASON, and thanks to an ergonomic three-point harness and soft padding, it is a back-friendly, reflective companion for everyday urban life.

The compact F607 MARKS and the medium-sized F608 KNOTT can be used as toiletry bags, as cases for all sorts of things, or as rapid-access bags-in-bag. The two pouches will keep all kinds of (un)important trinkets and more essential stuff safely zipped up and, aesthetically speaking, are the equal of their larger counterparts.

For once, the upcycled truck reflector isn't used on the outside but on the inside of the bag — as a handle for the metal mirror supplied.

The Reflected Bags were designed to be as durable and forward-thinking as you'd expect of bikeable bags from FREITAG. What's more, they're modular, so if something unfortunate does happen, they're incredibly easy to repair.

It means that if an individual component is defective, it can be easily replaced. The trick? Rather than being elaborately concealed, all the seams are visible, so replacing the various parts is made pretty straightforward.

The modularity concept is also a vital step toward greater circularity at FREITAG. Because the aim is that one day, recyclable components should be easy to remove, facilitating their return to their respective cycles at the end of their lives.

Thanks to various handles and straps, the volume-adjustable tote bag with its rollable or foldable top section can be carried in several ways: over the shoulder, in your hand, or as a crossbody bag for safer cycling.
