In Zurich and Kyoto, FREITAG rents out practical, eco-friendly cargo bikes to help out with your heavy hauls.
CARGO BIKE
We love bikes. Our very first FREITAG bag was a messenger bag — water-repellent, tough, and perfect for getting around the city on two wheels. And we don't think you need to own everything you only use once in a while. For these two reasons, we rent out handy cargo bikes at the FREITAG Flagship Store and the FREITAG Stores in Kyoto and Zurich Grüngasse.
USE IT, DON'T OWN IT
We're always looking for new ways to rethink consumption. One of them is «access over ownership» — sharing things you only need for specific occasions instead of buying them. In other words: offering services sometimes makes more sense than selling stuff. Our cargo bike rental service is an example. It give you easy access to a super practical way of getting loads from A to B only when you actually need it.
CARGO BIKE RENTAL IN ZURICH
All you need is a user profile at carvelo2go, a credit card, as well as abit of internet and you can reserve one of our bikes. On the big day, you show your ID at the store, get the key and a charged battery, and you're good to go.
Once you’ve returned everything as agreed, carvelo2go will charge you a booking fee and invoice the hours (max. CHF 5 for the booking plus CHF 3.50 for each hour).
Both of our industrial green bikes — one in our Flagship Store, the other at the FREITAG Store Zurich Grüngasse — come with a fold-down FREITAG truck tarp canopy and an e-motor.
YOUR CARGO BIKE IN KYOTO
The FREITAG store in Kyoto can also rent you a cargo bike, the original muli two-wheel transporter with its foldable tarp basket. Adapted for Japanese road conditions, it is particularly compact and agile.
