Working at FREITAG
What began in 1993 with two brothers working together in a shared apartment has grown steadily over the years. Today, more than 250 people work for FREITAG at 30 or so stores and at headquarters in Zurich-Oerlikon. Over 50 employees still work there, dismantling, washing and cutting truck tarps to size. Various production partners in Europe handle the manufacture of bags and accessories. Otherwise, we prefer to do things ourselves. From product development to logistics, sales, customer service, communications, and much more, almost everything is done in-house or in collaboration with long-standing partners.
FREITAG is not only committed to the circular economy but is also organized in cycles. In 2016, we abolished the classic hierarchy and introduced a form of self-organization known as Holacracy. We trust in our employees’ individual capabilities, encourage personal responsibility and build on respectful and inclusive cooperation.
