Zurich, July 2024 – Three FREITAG shoppers that you can’t simply buy: F740 SONNY SY, F741 MIAMI VICE SY, and now F742 JULIEN SY. These three bags, each with an additional pouch, can be assembled exclusively at five FREITAG stores using a variety of truck tarp pieces.

«You have to finish them yourself!» Usually, you’d just select your FREITAG one-off bag. But in the case of these three models, the Zurich-based bag-makers are entrusting completion to their future owners. Workspaces for all DIY enthusiasts are the FREITAG Yourself Stations in Zurich, Munich, Kyoto, Shanghai, and Bangkok Silom. Or, more conveniently, from wherever you happen to be via video call.

And, from now on, you can also assemble F742 JULIEN SY, the medium-size FREITAG tote bag that also functions as a backpack, to suit your own ideas and wishes. Since last year, F741 MIAMI VICE SY, the make-it-yourself, multi-colored reinterpretation of the classic FREITAG shopper with an exclusive additional pouch, has been available at the Yourself Stations, along with F740 SONNY SY, a compact version of the same bag.

«Finish» is the name of the game at the FREITAG Yourself Stations: Customers choose their favorite bag body, perfectly matching handles, and an additional pouch to create their very own, one-of-a-kind masterpiece. The necessary components are available in all the truck tarp colors the European transit routes can offer. And once the future owner has assembled a bag to suit their color preferences, the store crew completes the work on the sewing machine.

The Yourself offer is available immediately on-site at the FREITAG stores in Munich, Shanghai, Bangkok Silom, Kyoto, and Zurich Grüngasse. At the latter three stores, you can also make a reservation for a video call. For international shipping, you can book a slot at the FREITAG Store Grüngasse in Zurich.
