Yes, you read that right. FREITAG is introducing the world’s first upcycled cool bag made from used truck tarps. The limited F738 COOL BAG is a square, practical eye-catcher for beach promenades, parks and bike rides, designed for a long life by the side of sun worshippers, aperitif lovers and strategic shoppers. The food-safe insulation inside keeps your picnic goodies fresh and keeps the cold chain intact on the ride from the frozen-food aisle to your home freezer.

Recycled plastic, it’s fantastic
The eye-catching handles in lots of unique color gradients make every F738 COOL BAG one of a kind. The colorful secret ingredient: recycled plastic leftovers, including food packaging, old hospital clothing, used lab material, and expired hygiene masks. To produce the sturdy handles, FREITAG teamed up with the makers behind Precious Plastic Zurich. They specialize in reusing plastics and handcrafted every single piece in Zurich. The ergonomic shape makes the bag comfortable to carry and was developed together with a Zurich engineering firm.

Upcycled and chilled
Of course, plastic leftovers aren't the only rescued materials used for these cool-and-cool bags. Every F738 COOL BAG is made from used truck tarps – silver ones only, for once – and comes with a detachable shoulder strap made from discarded car seat belts. Both are durable guarantees of a long life by the side of expressive urbanites.
